Protecting Those Who Cannot Speak

The Association for the Protection of Abandoned and Vulnerable Animals (APAVA) is an animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable, abandoned, and at-risk animals.

Our primary efforts support cats living in street colonies, as well as animals in shelters who require urgent medical attention.

Providing Health. Restoring Hope

Across Andalucía, street cats and stray animals lead difficult lives. Thousands of cats often face hunger, disease, and injury. Many suffer silently without access to vital veterinary care, a basic right every living creature deserves. Local shelters and volunteers struggle each day, with limited resources stretched thin, unable to cover urgent and often life-saving medical bills for cats, dogs, donkeys, and horses.

As a compassionate animal welfare charity, APAVA steps in where help is desperately needed, acting as a caring lifeline for those overlooked by society. Our work not only addresses immediate medical needs, but also helps break the relentless cycle of neglect in these communities.
